Lactation Support May Be Fully Covered by Your Insurance

Getting the help you need shouldn’t be complicated - or expensive. We partner with several major insurance providers to make expert lactation care more accessible for families. Let’s find out if your visit can be covered!

At The Breastfeeding Center of Orange County, we're here to simplify the process and help you access the care you need.

Anthem, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Sutter Health, United, and Multi-Plan Members:

We partner with The Lactation Network (TLN) to provide insurance-covered visits for many PPO plans under these and some other providers. To verify your coverage, please complete the insurance verification form here. TLN typically responds within 24-48 hours. If you don't receive a response within this timeframe, contact us at hello@breastfeedoc.com, and we'll assist you.​

Aetna Members:

As an in-network provider for most Aetna PPO plans, we can often offer covered lactation consultations. To verify your benefits, email us at with the button below or directly to hello@breastfeedOC.com with your name, date of birth, the primary policy holder's name and date of birth, and a copy of your insurance card (front and back).​

Cigna Members:

We've partnered with Wildflower to provide lactation consultations for families with Cigna PPO, Cigna HMO, and Strategic Alliance insurance. Verify your coverage by completing the form here. If not approved, contact us for cash pay options.​

Other Insurance Providers:

If your insurance isn't listed above, you may still have lactation benefits. You can book a consultation with payment due upon booking. After your visit, we'll provide a superbill for you to submit a reimbursement claim to your insurance provider. We recommend contacting your insurance company beforehand to confirm out-of-network coverage.

Note on Home Visits:

Home visits may incur additional travel fees, even if your consultation is covered by insurance. For specific travel rates to your area, please reach out to us at hello@breastfeedoc.com.
