Now Hiring: Part-time Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)

What We're Looking For

Clinically Confident

You can independently conduct a comprehensive lactation consultation, identify concerns, provide appropriate education and recommendations, and develop a clear plan of care.

Family-Centered & Judgment-Free

You genuinely support all feeding methods and family goals. You are comfortable working with families who breastfeed, pump, combination feed, formula feed, bottle feed, or use another feeding approach.

Reliable & Professional

You are punctual, dependable, communicate well, and follow through with your scheduled responsibilities.

Tech-Savvy

You are comfortable using a laptop, smartphone, electronic health records, scheduling software, communication platforms, and AI technology. Training will be provided on our specific systems.

Organized

You are confident with clinical documentation and care plans and complete charting accurately and on time.

Committed to Continued Learning

You stay current with evidence-based lactation practices, protocols, and recommendations related to breast care, pumping, flange sizing, infant feeding, oral function, and other areas of lactation care.

Team-Oriented

You are comfortable working independently during consultations while also collaborating with the other IBCLCs and team members.

The Position

We are seeking a part-time Lactation Consultant to provide comprehensive lactation consultations in our Laguna Hills office, clients' homes throughout Orange County, and virtually as needed.

The ideal candidate is clinically confident, compassionate, reliable, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing a lactation consultation from beginning to end.

Position: Lactation Consultant / IBCLC
Employment: W-2 Employee
Compensation: starting at $32–$38/hour, based on experience
Hours: Approximately 15–20 hours per week
Primary Location: Laguna Hills, CA
Home Visits: Throughout Orange County
Mileage: Reimbursed at the current federal mileage rate for home-visit travel

Required Qualifications

  • Current IBCLC certification**

  • Valid driver's license

  • Reliable vehicle for home visits

  • Active malpractice/liability insurance*

  • Active CAQH profile*

  • Strong spoken and written English

  • Ability to independently conduct a comprehensive lactation consultation

  • Willingness to provide office and home visits, with virtual consultations as needed

*may be obtained after hiring but must be maintained in active status
** may consider candidates who tested in September 2026, however all other requirements must be met including strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a lactation consultation independently
