Initial Breastfeeding Consultations

Initial consultations last approximately 1.5 hours. Schedule this type of visit if its your and your baby’s first time visit The Breastfeeding Center.

Follow-up Breastfeeding Consultation
Follow-up appointments are for established clients who already had their Initial Breastfeeding Consultation.
Follow-up appointments last approximately 60 minutes.

Pumping Support
Our Pumping Support Visit is perfect for parents who need help with their breast pump.
Some common things we can work on during these visits are:
-Setting up your pump and Reviewing all the parts
-Flange Measurement & Fitting
-Assessing pumping output
-Improving comfort while pumping
-Create Pumping Plans
Pumping Support Visits are usually 45-60 minute appointments and include a written care plan emailed to you!

NOTE: These visits are designed to assess only the parent's pumping needs. You are welcome to bring your baby, however we cannot do any assessments of baby during this visit.
Bottle Feeding Support
Our Bottle Feeding Support Visit is perfect for families who need support with bottle feeding.
Some common things we can work on during these visits are:
-Bottle Introduction
-Bottle Refusal
-Paced Bottle Feeding Techniques
-Exploring various bottle types and nipple flows
-Ensuring appropriate bottle feeding volumes for your baby
Bottle Support Visits are 45 minute appointments and include a written care plan emailed to you!
Bottle Feeding Visits last approximately 45-60 minute and are currently held only in our Laguna Hills office.

NOTE: These visits are designed to assess only bottle feeding. If you are having challenges with latching, pumping, milk supply or other issues, it may be best to consider an Initial or Follow-Up appointment type instead.
Prenatal Consultations
Private prenatal consultations are the perfect way get a solid foundation on breastfeeding prior to baby’s arrival! Discover answers to common breastfeeding questions such as:
*What will the first few days of breastfeeding look like?
*How will I know baby is getting enough milk?
*How often should i feed my baby?
All these questions answered and many more!
Prenatal consultations last approximately 1 hour.

Prenatal Consultation at our office $150 (60 minutes)

Virtual consults
Virtual consults are available to families worldwide! Topics such as pumping, managing cluster feeding and growth spurts, storing breastmilk, and many others are great for virtual consults. Get all your breastfeeding related questions answered with a board certified lactation consultant from the comfort of wherever you choose!
